Kekexili, Qinghai: a paradise for wild animals Qinghai Kekexili National Nature Reserve is located in the hinterland of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It covers an area of 45,000 square kilometers and has an average elevation of over 4,600 meters. It is one of the highest national nature reserves in China with a wide variety of wild animals.
