I can’t remember how many times this is the first time I have come to Kanas. In the extraordinary year of 2020, I will lead the team here again. I always want to find a different Kanas. Every time I have regrets, there will always be Surprise.

I remember that the first time I came to Kanas was in 2004. The whole journey was 30 kilograms heavy and it took nearly 100 kilometers in four and a half days. During the November of this year, the team set foot on this familiar and unfamiliar pure land again. A group of 19 people set off from Urumqi on the 1st, traveling 840 kilometers a day, which lasted 13 hours, and arrived at Jiadengyu at sunset.

We waited at the ticket station before dawn on the 2nd in order to be able to take the earliest shuttle bus to the shooting spot. Moon Bay, the most beautiful and charming river bay in Kanas, autumn colors and snow reflections in the blue river bay, morning fog and dense forest surrounding the secluded still water, I have seen it countless times, but I can't see enough.

Early in the fall of this year, Kanas belongs to the Taiga forest. A variety of trees symbiosis. In autumn, it will show colorful and charming autumn colors. The first is the yellow birch forest. The yellow leaves of the birch forest are withered. The Siberian larch It has turned yellow. In some years, you can see the coexistence of the golden yellow of the birch forest and the scorched yellow of the larch. Only the dark green of the firs remains unchanged.

In the afternoon, hike along the plank road at the mouth of Kanas Lake and take pictures while walking down the river. The lakes and mountains are beautiful and beautiful.

I have always wanted to take pictures of Kanas, which is not so popular. The landscape along the river is very suitable for relaxing, letting go of your mind, and letting every cell in your body blend into this walking trail that few people have walked.

On the afternoon of the 3rd, Baihaba, the small village in the most northwestern corner of the motherland, was no longer peaceful by the bustling tourists, but they could not change the original ecology here. The herdsmen stationed in the border still lived a pastoral life.

In Hemu on the 5th, thousands of cameras on the viewing platform take almost the same photos every day. For those who have been there N times, I can’t stimulate the motivation to raise the camera and press the shutter. In Hemu, my favorite is Meilifeng Ranch, where there are relatives I have been with for many years, and there is the Jingyi Ranch that makes me calm. It is a real pure land far away from commercialization. It is the back garden of Hemu. Xanadu.
