Start from scratch, learn to install Google Analytics and FB pixels when opening a shop on shopify in 30 days—Day19

After entering analytics.google.com and logging in to your Google account, you must first register for Google Analytics. Then you need to fill in the account name, such as My Flower Store, for easy identification in the future; website name, the website name analyzed by Google analysis tool; website URL, your shop address, and select the industry category:
Click Get Tracking ID, check two options, and click I accept:
Copy the tracking code:
Open the Shopify backend, click Online store–> Preferences, find Google Analytics, paste the code in the blank box next to it, and finally click Save in the upper right corner:
This will install Google Analytics for the shop. Remember to check the use enhanced ecommerce below.
Back to the homepage of Google Analytics, we can view the data of this store. In the real-time overview section, you can see that there are several users visiting the store. I just opened a product page, and the real-time data of Google shows 1.
And can see which page I am visiting and where I am:
For Shopify, you must install Google Analytics!
Moreover, we will need Google analytics tools to track the conversion of the store, so we have to set goals and e-commerce.
Click Manage –> E-commerce Settings in the lower left corner:
Turn on the switch of e-commerce settings, the switch of enhanced e-commerce report can also be turned on, and then save.
Then we can add a target, click Manage -> Target -> Add new target:
We can set various goals, such as purchase goals. The part of setting the target will not be elaborated here, but will be explained in detail later.
After setting various goals, we can view the detailed tracking data in Conversion -> Goals -> Overview:
And you can track the user's behavior in the behavior section, and you can view the data hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly:
Google Analytics allows us to obtain detailed and in-depth data. In the following chapters, I will explain in detail how to set up conversion tracking in Google Analytics, such as tracking additional purchases, purchases and other goals, which is very helpful for our advertising scale .
Next, talk about how to install FB pixels.
After logging in to the FB business management platform, click on business settings in the upper right corner:
After clicking on Ad accounts, you can see which of your advertising accounts are. If you haven’t created an ad account yet, click Add–>create a new ad account:
If many of your ad accounts are shown to be disabled under your Ad accounts, for example:
Don't worry about this situation, all you have to do is contact FB customer service to let them help you lift the ban.
To view the reason for the ban on an advertising account, you can click on the advertising account on the homepage of the business management platform, and then view the reason for the ban:
For example, in the above advertising account, I did not create any ads, but it was banned. The reason is: the account has been created for 60 days, but no activity has occurred. FB has disabled unused accounts in order to prevent abuse and fraud.
Go back to the Ad Accounts section of the business management platform, click on the disabled ad account, and click Modify to change the name of the ad account:
Note here that only the administrator can make changes. Check if you are an ad account admin in People:
If it is not, it cannot be modified. You can ask the account owner to set you as an administrator and then modify the ad account name later:
After modifying the advertising account name, remember to remind other administrators to make the same modification.
Then we refresh the homepage of the business management platform, click on the newly modified advertising account, and enter the background of the advertising management tool.
Click on Advertising Management Tool -> Pixel:
Click Create Pixel -> Create:
After the creation is complete, click directly to copy the pixel ID:
Then open the Shopify backend, click Online Store–>Preferences, find Facebook Pixel, paste the pixel ID in the blank box, and finally save it:
So, back to the problem of the account being disabled, don't worry too much about this situation. After you contact their customer service, the ban will be lifted within one or two days. FB is to make sure that you use it after you create an advertising account. Many people just create multiple advertising accounts and leave them there.
So, if you haven't created any ads, FB will block your ad account, so you don't need to be nervous.
After entering the backend of the advertising management tool, click the question mark in the upper right corner, pull the pop-up box on the right to the bottom, and click still need help:
Then click support in the upper right corner of the newly opened page, and select Ad account settings-
