  • General: General settings of the store

Store details : Edit the store name, such as uppercase and lowercase spaces, to look more beautiful; the account mailbox is the mailbox used to log in to the store, and official Shopify messages will also be sent to this mailbox; customer service mailbox, when contacting customers, customers will see This mailbox, don’t set it here temporarily, and add it after the domain name is set.

Store address : legal business name, if you have registered a company, you can write the company name, if you don’t have a company, you can also write your store name.

The address information can be set arbitrarily, you can write your real address, you can write in the mailbox address rented online, or you can buy a virtual address, just search po box or virtual address on Google.

The process is like this: you select an email address, and then notify the sender; the sender sends the package> to the address you specify; the package is scanned and uploaded to your virtual mailbox.

  • Account: Basic information of the store.

For example, what plan the store uses, when it was established, adding employee accounts, store status, etc.

Click Add staff account to add an employee account, enter the employee's first and last name and email address, select the employee's usage rights, and invite the employee. The $29 monthly fee package can only have up to 2 employees.

In the shop status section, the shop can be suspended or closed. Of course, you can also choose to hire a Shopify expert, but in general we don't need it.

  • Payment providers: payment method.

Paypal, Chinese sellers can only choose PayPal Express Checkout, then activate your paypal account, log in to your paypal account and authorize. As long as the following interface appears, it means that your website can now receive payments via Paypal:

If a customer chooses to pay with paypal when purchasing a product, he must log in to his paypal account to complete the payment; if he does not have a paypal account, he must first register a paypal account to continue payment.

Credit card collection can use 2Checkout and stripe as a supplement to customer payment channels. But we need to know in advance which products cannot be sold using these payment channels.

We don’t care about other payment methods and manual payment.

This payment method only supports some countries or regions, such as Australia, Canada, Germany, the United States, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Japan, Ireland, New Zealand, and Spain.

You have to submit bank information, EIN (Employer Identification Number), average order price, average order delivery time, etc.

You have to briefly describe what product you are selling. It is recommended not to mention the word dropshipping in it, just say you have a supplier. Because the word dropshipping may cause some unnecessary trouble.

The Statement Descriptor here can write the name of your store, which will appear on the customer's bank statement.

Remember our previous settings in general? The legal name of business will not appear on the customer’s bank statement.

Payment authorization : The customer paid, whether to manually fetch or automatically obtain the order payment.

If you are a new store, then the default option is to obtain it manually. If you choose to obtain payment manually, if the customer pays for the order with a credit card, then you must go to the background to manually click to obtain payment.

If you do not manually click to pay, then the customer's credit card bank will not process the payment, and you will not get the money for this order.

Therefore, be sure to choose to automatically obtain payment for orders, so that you do not need to manually operate one by one.

  • Notifications: Notification management.

What notification emails can customers receive, such as order confirmation, delivery confirmation, logistics update, etc. You don't care about these, don't modify it at will. We will use sendlane to do most of the work here.

One place to pay attention to is the desktop notification.

The function of this is to say: the computer desktop will send a notification to remind that there is a new order. But here, I do not recommend you to enable it, because its own functional experience is not very good.

If you want to get desktop notifications, I recommend you use pushnotifyr.com. Not only will there be new order notifications, but also email reminders.

  • Billing: Billing information.

Here you have to fill in your own credit card. Shopify’s monthly monthly fee, plugin fee, theme fee (paid theme), etc. will be deducted from this credit card. The specific bills will be listed below, and you can see which items are used and how much they cost on a given day.

  • Sales Channels: Sales channels.

Earlier, we talked about adding sales channels in the overview on day 3. The Sales Channels in Settings will also display these added channels.

  • Checkout: Checkout settings.

Customer account : Customers do not need to register an account before settlement. Under normal circumstances, the conversion rate of choosing Accounts are disabled is the best. If a customer is willing to provide an email address and register, it means that he trusts your shop more. Of course, you can test that Accounts are disabled and accounts are optional.

How to contact the customer : There are two options for the main contact method: the first option is that the customer can use a mobile phone number or email when checking out. If the customer uses a mobile phone number, then the email address may not be collected; the second option is Customers can only settle by email.

It is recommended to choose the second one which is conducive to subsequent email marketing. Additional contact method, it is recommended to check, the customer can receive the logistics update information after adding the mobile phone number or email address.

Information to be filled in at checkout : Full name is required, company name is optional, street address 2 is optional, and shipping address phone number is optional.

Order processing : When customers check out, the delivery address is used as the billing address by default, and the address auto-complete function is enabled. After the order is paid, temporarily choose not to automatically fulfill the order. After the order has been completed and paid, check the box to automatically archive the order.

Additional scripts : This is the only place in Shopify where you can control the thank you page that customers see after payment. We can let customers see text messages, pictures of other products, countdowns, etc. on the thank you page.

Email marketing : Check "Show registration options at checkout".

  • Shipping: Shipping settings.
