The impression of Suzhou from small to large, apart from heaven above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below, what impressed me most is that it is a "city of gardens". It is said that since 2000 years ago, the city began to build gardens, and the number is countless. By the Qing Dynasty, the number of gardens in the entire Suzhou City reached 170. Until now, Suzhou still has more than 50 gardens.

These historic Suzhou gardens were also selected as World Cultural Heritage in 1997. The most characteristic gardens are the Humble Administrator’s Garden, Lingering Garden, Master of the Nets Garden, and Huanxiu Villa. Among these gardens, I Personally, I like the Lingering Garden.

Why do you like Lingering Garden? Although it is not as loud as the Humble Administrator’s Garden and Lion Grove in terms of fame, the Lingering Garden is not as vicissitudes of life as Canglang Pavilion. However, the whole atmosphere of the Lingering Garden is just right. It has a delicate garden atmosphere, and there are not too many tourists so it is not too noisy.

Looking at the history of the Lingering Garden, we can see that this is a garden that was first built in the Ming Dynasty. It was renamed "Hanbi Mountain Villa" in the Qing Dynasty, and then later changed to "Lingering Garden".

If we compare the four famous gardens in Suzhou, both the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Lion Grove are much larger than it. But as the saying goes, "The sparrow is small, but it has all the five internal organs." This small garden has all the scenery that a garden should have.

The entire Lingering Garden is mainly divided into three parts, namely the west area, the middle area and the east area. The east side is my personal favorite place. It connects the veranda and the hill-climbing corridor in the west side into a long peripheral corridor. The twists and turns look very interesting. In the Western District, the main point of view is the strange rockery group. In the middle, it is the most tender place in the Lingering Garden, which is the pool. In the middle is the pool, and to the north of the pool is the rockery pavilion, plus the trees, it looks green.

In my opinion, the most beautiful place in the Lingering Garden must belong to the rockery here. It can be said that most of the stones in the Lingering Garden are made of Taihu stone, and they are all the finest pieces of Taihu stone, especially the one in the middle of the garden. Guanyunfeng has become one of the essence of the existing Taihu stone, perhaps because the original intention of the garden designer was to allow the owner to see the landscape and pastoral scenery without going out, and this Guanyunfeng is a symbol of the mountain.

In addition to Guanyunfeng, there are more than 10 Taihu strange stones in the Lingering Garden, which are named Yinyue, Qingzhi, Cockscomb, Kuisu, Yiyun, Fuxiu, and Yunu. Although they are not as large as Guanyunfeng, they are the same It is an exquisite stone in China's Taihu Lake, and it is also one of the most precious remains preserved in the Lingering Garden.

Apart from Guanyunfeng, the beauty of the Lingering Garden is the space design concept here. When you walk in every corner of the Lingering Garden, you can see this ingenious idea. Through each window, you can see the beautiful scenery re-drawn, and through the lattice windows, you can also present another kind of scenery. This model seems to be like a picture-in-picture style, making the entire Lingering Garden look a little more diverse Breath.

It can be said that when you travel to Suzhou, even after seeing the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Lion Grove, you will not feel bored after visiting the Lingering Garden. After all, in Suzhou, every garden has its own characteristics, so the Lingering Garden is also a garden that will surprise you.
