Chongzuo, Guangxi, bordering Vietnam in the southwest, has a forest coverage rate of 54.92%. It is one of the four major tourist destinations in Guangxi and the prefecture-level city with the longest land border. "Enter ASEAN at the first step." Among the more than 500 tourist attractions in Chongzuo, the most worth seeing is the Detian Transnational Waterfall in Detian Village, Shuolong Township, Daxin County.
The Detian Transnational Waterfall originates from the Guichun River in Jingxi City, Guangxi. The river flows southward into Vietnam and reflows back to China in Daxin County. It forms the natural border between China and Vietnam from Detiantun to Shuolong Street. In the border town of Shuolong, it broke through thousands of rocks and tumbling down from 70-meter-high cliffs to become the majestic Detian Waterfall.
According to calculations, Detian Waterfall has a maximum width of more than 200 meters, a depth of more than 60 meters, a drop of more than 70 meters, and an average annual flow of 50 cubic meters per second. The average annual water volume is about three times that of Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou, ranking first in Asia and fourth in the world. The large transnational waterfall is also the only transnational waterfall group in China with the boundary river as the axis. In the best play season from June to November each year, the waterfall is like a Milky Way falling from the sky, which can be called a world wonder.
The most amazing thing is that Detian Waterfall can be seen from any angle of the scenic spot. Different angles present different beauty, and each one is pleasantly surprised. In addition, many precious plants such as clams and cycads in the forest around the waterfall, as well as a large number of national first- and second-class protected animals such as black langurs, leopard cats, red-bellied squirrels, and white pheasants attract tourists to explore and play.
Compared with the waterfall itself, the most interesting thing for tourists is its geographical location. One side of the waterfall is China, and the other is Vietnam. The unique location gives Detian Transnational Waterfall an extra layer of mystery. Standing on the land of China, you can clearly see the Banyo Waterfall in Vietnam on the opposite bank of the Guichun River and the Vietnamese tourists under the waterfall. Although Banyue Waterfall is not as big as Detian Waterfall, it is more graceful and graceful, looking like a beautiful pastoral picture from a distance.
The "China 836 (1)" boundary marker standing on the bank of Guichun River is composed of a black first-level base and a red second-level base. It is solemn and awe-inspiring. It is worth mentioning that the 836 boundary marker is a dual basic boundary marker, and there is another Vietnamese boundary marker in Vietnam on the opposite bank of the Guichun River. The Chinese side of the boundary marker is written in Vietnamese characters, numbered "836(2)".
There is a saying in Guangxi: "To visit Detian Waterfall, you must catch the water market." Since there are not many tourists on the Vietnamese side, many Vietnamese vendors will row a bamboo raft to sell hand skewers, coffee, dried mangoes, dried jackfruit and other special commodities. With the increase in the number of Chinese tourists, Vietnamese traders who do business with Chinese people have also reached the point where they become a market.
China and Vietnam are separated by a strip of water. The border residents of Guangxi Zhuang and Viet Nanjing have similar customs and language. Vietnamese vendors also use fluent Mandarin to communicate with Chinese tourists. They also support payment in RMB or mobile phones. Because the goods are genuine and cheap, this water The business of transnational bazaars is very prosperous and has become a tourist attraction for tourists to check in.
Although Detian Waterfall was named the most beautiful waterfall in China by "Chinese National Geographic" magazine as early as 2005, it is not very popular compared with other famous scenic spots. In recent years, as some well-known film and television dramas such as "Flower Thousand Bones" have been filmed here, Detian Waterfall has gradually become an Internet celebrity tourist destination, attracting many tourists to come to see the magnificent scenery and national culture of the Sino-Vietnamese border.
